Ignore the upper right side of the target, Mrs. Blacktruck forgot how to shoot for a minute.

She didn't forget how to shoot. She obviously was imagining the target as a pirate and wanted to make sure she offed the parrot as well.

I thought this was real therapy and it looked like you had made some kind of artwork. I have to admit when I saw the whole photo I was disappointed it was gun work.

Huh. I thought you were a lawyer. But yeah, same applies. Isn't there a lawyer somewhere on Oppo?

(In best hillbilly accent) Shit man, that is art.
Actually, almost all of those holes were with a subcompact .40 at 25 meters, that is a very skillful art. Hitting the paper at 25 meters with any short barrel handgun is pretty hard.

Yeah, there's a few of them. Off the top of my head I can't remember their names, though.

Trying not to laugh, trying not to laugh.
My next purchase will be a camouflage Sig Sauer 1911 .45. I have never owned a .45 and I feel like I need one.

That's awesome, from now on I am putting up all of our targets after we go shooting just so you can make art with them.

I heard that Kentucky windage pairs well with a fine glass of Kentucky rye. Be happy she killed the paper, you wouldn't believe how long it takes a cluster of privates to hit the broadside of a barn.

She can hit paper all day, it took me awhile to get her there but she is usually dead on with a pistol. I just need to pick up a rifle and get her good with that.

Mini 14, you can't go wrong with that and she'll love it. Also, can't recommend m1a's enough. Got into long distance shooting after getting out of the military, it's addicting so be prepared if you find yourself going down that road. I'd like to pick up a tavor here soon to add to the locker. Glad to see you guys enjoying the range together.

I love it! I get to help wealthy individuals and families with their planning and investments. Very challenging.
I will tell you this, though: Be VERY CAREFUL what company you work for. If you're just starting out in finance, you'll probably work for either a small firm or a lower tiered firm like Ameriprise or Edward Jones. Sometimes, those places don't train you properly (they try to get you to sell investments improperly, sell products that will pay you more instead of products that are best for the client, etc).

I want a .308 AR-15 but I am thinking I might pickup a 5.56 AR-15 instead. The kick won't be too bad for her. I don't want to get something she won't enjoy shooting. We can work up to the 7.62 once she is used to shooting a rifle.

If that's the case you can't go wrong with bravo company, good shit. LWRC used to make some nice black rifles but recently got bought out by Remington. You might look at the tavor, bullpup design is gonna be more compact so might work well for her and it's 5.56. Sigs got some interesting stuff coming out with the mcx being high on the list of wants. It's supposed to be interchangable between 5.56, .300blk, and 7.62x39.

Thank you, and to answer your question no and no. I am done with my associates (accounting) but I am probably going to finish my bachelor's in finance. Have you seen or experienced any kind of age discrimination in any companies you have worked for? That is my biggest worry about moving into the civilian sector as I will be 36 or 37 when I finish my Bachelor's and start looking for a job.

Larger firms shy away from hiring people right out of college due to experience. However, with a college degree and being an Army vet, you won't have a problem getting hired by a larger firm (UBS, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch). They love hiring vets.
And yes, I work for one of those firms.

That is awesome to hear. I have often wondered whether or not businesses would want to hire an older vet over a young kid fresh out of college. To me it makes more sense to hire a vet over a kid but I have never really been able to got a straight answer. Again, thanks. I just have to decide if being a financial manger is what I really want to do.

Consider looking at the 6.8 for an AR. It is a lot more useful than 5.56 with no difference in recoil. It also has way less recoil and is cheaper to shoot than the .308 plus it's the AR-15 platform so much cheaper to build/buy than an AR-10.
68forums.com has lots of info.

The ammo is more expensive than 5.56, but much cheaper than .308. Plus in a lot of places 5.56/.223 isn't legal for hunting. Ammo availability is getting better and cheaper for the 6.8. It kind of depends on what you're looking to do with it. If you are looking purely for a plinking gun the 5.56 is better. If you are looking for one rifle to handle some plinking and hunting then 6.8 hits the sweet spot IMO.
I haven't used it yet as I just finished my build last winter, but by all accounts the 6.8 is excellent on deer/coyotes/hogs out to 300 yards. I have run a couple hundred rounds through mine and it is a sweet shooting accurate gun.

Please get in touch with Farrah Abraham. Apparently she just blew thru 20% of her $500k advance buying an AMG E63. She could use your help, methinks.

She's just a few hours away in Austin! And yes, I have been to Palazio a couple of times in college and once two years ago for a bachelor party.
I saw that and immediately thought, "You just won a mini lottery, and you're not guaranteed any other mini lotteries. After taxes, you'd net about $350k, give or take some. You couldn't have bought an E350 that didn't have expensive brakes and Z-rated tires?!"
She'll probably marry rich in the next couple of years and it won't matter, but yes... She could use my help.

Ya, that's exactly what it was. So does it with her first mag every time we go shooting. After that she calms down and starts shooting normally.

Well, the simple fix is give her something belt-fed with a much higher ROF. That'll do it :)
